Greta Pope performing on the Jazz Tropicale Cruise
An enthusiastic audience enjoyed the 20th Annual WDCB Marshall Vente Jazz Tropicale Cruise on Sunday, September 13, 2015 onboard the Tall Ship Windy. It was the second and last Jazz Tropicale Cruise of this season. The weather initially seemed a little dicey, but as the cruise got underway, we found the evening to be absolutely glorious. The Tall Ship Windy was at capacity and everyone had a wonderful time. The Jazz Tropicale Cruise was the culmination of a fabulous weekend of music and camaraderie. Many old and new friends sailed with us as we ventured out onto beautiful Lake Michigan.
On Thursday, September 10th and Saturday, September 12th, the Eleven “Jazzy” Divas played to sold out houses at Northeastern Illinois University’s Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies. Again, many old and new friends came out to see this fabulous and sassy group of top-tier vocalists. What an impressive group of women! Lush harmonies…outstanding solo performances…and a very bright future ahead.
