We’re excited to welcome Scott Mason to The Business Savvy Singer Podcast this week. Scott is a Bass Player Extraordinaire and is the Head of Jazz and Contemporary Music Studies at Chicago’s Roosevelt University where he has held that role since 2012.
In addition to his teaching and administrative duties, he also maintains a bass studio of 3-5 students. His teaching emphasizes technical mastery of the instrument based on his classical studies, coupled with a thorough study of the role of the bass in the jazz and commercial repertoire.
Dr. Greta Pope has enjoyed a three decade career as an in-demand entertainer for corporate events, as well as public and private events of all types. She has performed throughout Europe, the Far East, South America and the Caribbean, as well as in the United States and Canada. Dr. Pope is a published author. Her book is entitled Music, Money & You; Managing the Business. It is used in the Chicago Public Schools and is available at booksellers nationwide.
