Last night, I attended an event entitled “A Poetry Reading and Reception for South Africa’s Next Generation” by actor and activist Danny Glover. The event benefitted the work of Shared Interest website.
I have always been a fan of actor Danny Glover, who has had quite an illustrious career appearing in films such as Lethal Weapon, Angels in the Outfield, The Color Purple and others. It was a pleasure to have an opportunity to meet him and hear him read excerpts from Donna Katzin’s critically acclaimed book “With These Hands.”
Kudos to Danny Glover and to Shared Interest for their commitment to the future of South Africa. It was a great evening.
