Keeping It Real

I had lunch yesterday with a talented young singer/songwriter. He had wonderfully interesting insights on the music business and for that matter, on business in general. He is a recent college grad and is looking forward to spreading his wings in the entertainment business. This young man sought consultation with me for advise on moving his career forward. We chatted for more than an hour about his aspirations…immediate and long term. We pondered the future of the music business and where he might fit in. We discussed marketing, management, touring and so much more. It was an inspiring afternoon with a fantastic young artist on the verge of greatness. I am humbled and honored to be his mentor.
